GBoard or the Google keyboard is one of the applications that is difficult not to recommend, especially for those users looking for a minimalist keyboard, simple to use and at the same time quite complete. But if we already liked this application enough, now we have new news, as the company has added real-time translation with voice, so the language barrier is becoming more and more diffuse.
The translation already existed in GBoard, but it only worked by writing text, it was a very interesting and useful function, but now it is much better. And it is that with the latest update it is already possible to make this same translation to all the languages available in Google Translate using only our voice, so the writing and translation is much faster.
How active?
The function is now available in version 9.7 of the keyboard. And all you have to do to make it work is click on the Google Translate icon that appears above the letters on the keyboard, right next to the gear icon that leads to the general settings.
Once you press this button, you will now only have to select the language you want to translate into, which, as we mentioned, is available in more than 100 languages. Finally, press on the microphone icon and start speaking what you want to write so that the application does the translation in real-time and appears in the text bar, now just press the send button and that’s it.
If you still don’t have a GBoard update available on the Play Store, don’t worry, because you also have the option to download the APK and install it manually.
Finally, it is important to emphasize that some users may not yet see this feature, but it is only a matter of being patient since the deployment is already taking place around the world.
