The Audi A4 is a reference in the market and especially in the D segment, practically limited to the Premium. The brand with the four rings is immersed in the development of a new generation that will arrive in 2023 and that will have new combustion engines.
Audi has already set a date for the cessation of traditional combustion. In the middle of the decade, the firm of the four rings will only be dedicated to the launch of electric cars, which does not mean that the firm renounces outright traditional models, since Until 2026 they will continue in this line and, therefore, they will exhaust their commercial life cycle with gasoline and diesel engines.
This strategy will follow the future Audi A4, of which little is known more that it is in development and of which a single spy photo has not yet been seen, although it will not take long to do so. A more modern sixth generation known internally as ‘B10’ and expected to debut in mid-2023. One of the most important pillars of Audi that will be available again with both the usual body configurations, saloon and Avant.
The range of the Audi A4 2023 will be highlighted by new engines
The future A4 will follow the same design line currently offered by the German brand, evolving the characteristic features with a more sporty and distinguishable profile of the rest of the models in the range, but always maintaining the main essence, so that one of the models with the highest commercial margin will not represent a revolution in image. This is the premise abroad, because in the interior it will be the opposite, betting on a more minimalist design and concentrating on digital and connectivity technology.
The German firm has already confirmed, through Oliver Hoffman, that it will have a new range of gasoline and diesel engines, classified as «the best ever built so far». Adapted to the Euro 7 standard, all will have 48 Volt MHEV technology, higher injection pressure, more power and – they say – “better throttle response at low speeds.”
In this regard, the brand has indicated that it is a ‘single turbocharger scheme», Which opens the door to an electric turbo. The A4 2023 will also add a version plug-in hybrid with up to 100 kilometers of autonomy. An interesting, and very important novelty, since its most direct competitors already have this more than advanced technology.
