Only twelve units will be produced of the exclusive Bentley Bacalar, a unique model in the world that has been developed by Mulliner’s customization division. The first has already gone out of production and is on its way to its owner in the United Kingdom.
The long waiting time from when we buy a car until delivery takes place is endless, not seeing the end of a long tunnel that, in the best of cases, lasts six months. This term is doubled, and is widely exceeded, when it comes to more exclusive models such as the exclusive Bentley Mulliner Bacalar.
The British roadster, developed and manufactured by those of Mulliner, is one of these examples, since since it was announced until the deliveries it has run no less than a year and a half. The British firm’s “barchetta” was one of the great Bentley novelties that we should have seen in the canceled 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
The Bentley Mulliner Bacalar is a concept brought to production and without a roof
The manufacturer has produced the expected dozen of the one-off, with a first unit that has the steering wheel on the right, so it will stay in the United Kingdom, according to the Crewe brand, and that you can see in these images. The second is on its way to the Benelux, so a client from Belgium, Holland or Luxembourg will receive it in the coming weeks.
The Bacalar design is inspired by the EXP 100 concept, a roadster with only two seats to truly roll with the sky as the roof. And is that there is no fabric hood or anything to save us from the rain if the weather turns bad. Among its attractions are the two large humps at the rear, as a continuation of the sports seats.
Technically based on the Continental GT, the frame structure It is completely new and specific to Bacalar, as well as the 659 hp powered by the powerful 6.0-liter W12 engine. The propeller is associated with a change 8-speed automatic with dual clutch and four-wheel drive. 12 different units that cost a whopping 1.5 million pounds, excluding tax. To the change, 1,746,000 Euros. And beware, all units sold a week after their presentation.
