F1 technology in the new Ferraro Purosangue
The Purosangue is made on an architecture of aluminum and with a lot of carbon. Proof of this is its empty weight, which barely exceeds two tons on a scale of 2,033 kilograms. Inside, sportiness and luxury come together in a completely new dashboard, with front seats inherited from those of the SF90 Stradale, and standing out for the digital instrument panel and the 10.2-inch media display on the passenger side.
But what is really interesting is under the bodywork. The Purosangue has a system of all-wheel drive «4WD-S»inherited that takes elements from the GTC4Lusso and also from the new SF90 Stradale, at the same time as the steering is independent on all four wheels, and it comes from the 812 Competizione. Two systems that are joined by the “Multimatic TASV” active suspension that uses an electric motor together with hydraulic dampers to control roll of the bodywork, and thus maintain maximum comfort when the performance of its impressive engine is rushed.
The Ferrari Purosangue will be sold with a powerful V12 engine
The Purosangue debuts with a 6.5-liter V12 heart, which offers top-notch performance and outperforms all its rivals, German and Italian, with features detailed below. The maximum power of 725 hp and the torque of 7,156 Nm -with 80% available from just 2,100 rpm- goes to the ground through a change F1 eight-speed dual-clutch automaticoffering one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its category, with no less than 2.80kg/hp.

Ferrari has adjusted the gearbox to get the maximum benefits, so that the first seven speeds have a very close relationshipas is already the case in the SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB, while the first four, fourth included, can digest all the power delivered only to the front wheels, while from the fifth the power is transferred to the rear wheelsand with the eighth only to reduce the speed of the engine when the Purosangue moves more calmly on the road.
The firm has not referred to any PHEV propulsion option, but surely there will be in the future. In this way, it does not overshadow the clients who reserve the first units of the Purosangue, whose deliveries are planned for mid-2023.
