Director Chloé Zhao reveals the reason why 2 Marvel characters are not in the movie The Eternals.
If the movie stands out for something The Eternals it’s for adding a bunch of new characters to the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe. In fact, the team consists of 10 heroes that must be added to Dane whitman from Kit harington. But it seems that 10 at first seemed few to them and they wanted it to be 12 in total. But there were two that did not make the cut and that is why we will not see them. At least for now.
“There were 12 characters when I first read the script. 12 Eternals ». Chloé Zhao explained. “We had to let two of them go their way.”
According to the director, the important thing was not that all members of The Eternals had the same screen time. But everyone was well represented.
“Some characters don’t need more screen time, it’s about what they do with screen time.” Chloé Zhao explained. They have to be memorable. And when we look at these 10 unique individuals, we think about how they represent 10 aspects of human nature. They have been here for so long, who they become today is a huge part of who we are. That is why it was equally important that they remain memorable. All 10 had the same weight. Not necessarily the time in front of the screen, but the weight.
What characters are not in the movie?
For now, we do not know which two heroes were left out of The Eternals, but if we follow the stories from the comics, they may refer to Valkin, Zarin or Zuras.
The Eternals hits theaters on November 5. Do you want to see it? Leave us your comments below in the opinion section. While we wait, you can see the rest of the deliveries of Marvel studios on Disney Plus.
