Director James Gunn reveals a deleted scene from the Suicide Squad movie that humanized the character King Shark.
Attention SPOILERS. King Shark also known as Nanaue is a character from The Suicide Squad who won over viewers for his childlike mind, his friendship with Ratcather 2, and for being brutal to his enemies. All of this gave him a ton of memorable moments, but there was a scene that missed the director’s cut and didn’t make it to the movies.
James Gunn reveals a cute deleted King Shark moment in The Suicide Squad:
“I think there are some really cool scenes that we cut out of the movie.” James Gunn said in a recent interview. “You see this moment, where King Shark is looking out the window, and he sees a young couple kissing. And you realize in that moment, hopefully, how he is not part of this world and how he longs to be part of this world. It was actually a much longer type of montage. It’s really beautiful, and I really like it in and of itself. Once again, I was in the wrong place in the movie. “
In fact, we see the beginning of this scene when King shark he sees the couple from the window of the bus, but cuts himself off before the montage. James Gunn also revealed that there were a few things with The Thinker (Peter Capaldi) and Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian) out of the bar that he hated to cut, but chances are high that it all ends on the Blu-ray release.
The film is not having the expected success.
It was expected that The Suicide Squad was the epic return of superhero cinema to theaters around the world. But so far they have only raised about 118 million dollars and considering that their budget is around 200 million, it may not be profitable in the end.
At least they have introduced characters from Dc comics spectacular like King shark that it would be nice if we could see them again in other movies. Although for now, there are only plans for Peacemaker (John Cena), as he will have his own series in HBO Max.
