The new Hyundai IONIQ 6 is already a reality. It has just been introduced. It is the second model of the South Korean brand based on the e-GMP platform. A sedan that will have to face the Tesla Model 3. But what if it had a family-type body variant? This recreation allows us to glimpse a hypothetical Hyundai IONIQ 6 Cw.
hyundai he has stepped on the accelerator of his electric offensive. The South Korean manufacturer has launched an ambitious strategic plan with which to establish itself as a leader in sustainable mobility. A roadmap that has already borne several fruits. The last one has just been presented just a few days ago. This is the new IONIQ 6. Hyundai’s second electric car based on the e-GMP platform.
The IONIQ family of models continues to grow and after the arrival on the market of the IONIQ 5, now all eyes are on the aforementioned IONIQ 6. A model that is called to play a leading role since it will rival, among others, the Tesla Model 3 and with the Polestar 2. But, What if Hyundai’s plans for the IONIQ 6 went further? Is there room in the market for a purely family-focused Hyundai electric? This recreation allows us to let our imagination fly.
Hyundai IONIQ 6 Cw, glimpsing a practical and familiar electric
the famous designer X-Tomi Design has published a very interesting recreation that allows us to glimpse a hypothetical Hyundai IONIQ 6 Cw. In other words, a more practical and familiar alternative to the recently presented IONIQ 6. It sports a characteristic silhouette and, above all, a drop roof that gives it its own personality compared to the rest of the models that make up the Hyundai range. It even moves away from the Hyundai i30 Cw.
At this time we do not have any type of information that allows us to venture that the IONIQ 6 Cw will end up materializing in a mass production vehicle. However, and considering that Hyundai’s commitment to electrification is not focused only on SUVs, we can leave the door open for this option. In any case, after the IONIQ 6, the next launch under the IONIQ line will be an SUV.
It will be in 2024 when the IONIQ 7 lands on the market, a large 100% electric SUV with an interior for up to seven passengers. Hyundai will position it as an electric alternative to its popular Santa Fe. A model that, by the way, has been anticipated through the Hyundai Seven Concept.
At this point, any details about the imagined IONIQ 6 Cw it is mere speculation. However, in the near future, if the current roadmap is maintained, the i30 range will have to be replaced by an electric model. And that is when the possibility of the aforementioned i30 Cw being replaced by a vehicle with the characteristics of this IONIQ 6 Cw will come into play.
