The creative agency Studio Lata has designed a spectacular electric tricycle with minimalism and a retro-futuristic concept as its main premises. The objective is to redefine the rules of innovation and urban mobility.
the founder of studio cana Norwegian creative agency, has redefined the rules of innovation and urban mobility, redesigning an electric with a retro design.
This is how Lata presents André Fangueiro’s latest creation: a futuristic cutaway electric trike combined with the lines of the past that, without a doubt, will fascinate motor and design lovers.
Fangueiro considers that most current electric vehicles base their design and conception on technology and not on the art of designing an object. For this reason, the objective of this E-Trike is “to concentrate and transform the bases of mobility design into the real and necessary attributes to drive a vehicle: capacity, danger, concentration, noise, speed and freedom».
To bring all this together, Fangueiro has opted for a design that he calls “raw and fresh” and that aims to overflow with personality.
Sustainable, technological and instant
In this innovative project, Studio Lata has also reviewed the design process, starting with an assessment of possible market gaps with in-depth analysis of gaps and opportunities»explains Fangueiro.
“First we started building the CAD (computer-aided design) and used finite element FEM, a numerical method for solving mathematical physics and engineering problems.”
“Based on the information gathered, we mocked up various possible concepts in CAD until we finally arrived at the final design. When designing the E-Trike, I wanted to make sure it was safe and minimalist, but without being boring»highlights its creator.
“We have designed the shapes to be appealing to all genders, but at the same time special as we wanted to challenge ourselves.”
What are the next steps with this product? “At the moment, we are working on launching the concept and learning more about all the users who are interested in the E-Trike, as well as in talk to potential development partners»responds Fangueiro.
