In 10 years we are going to build the largest public charging network in all of Mexico with 15,000 charging stations deployed throughout the Republic, seeking to connect people from coast to coast and from border to border,” he said.
For this, he explained, the company has proposed two investment periods: during the first five years they will disburse 200 million dollars to build 4,000 charging pointswhile in the next five they plan to build 10,000 stations with the same amount.
With roots in the Dominican Republic and a presence in several Latin American countries, López announced that the company seeks to expand into the United States and Spain, although Mexico is the largest market in which they operate.
There are more than 150 electric (vehicle) models in Mexico and there is a presence of the automotive industry, an extremely important manufacturing footprint that is now beginning its conversion towards electrification,” he argued.

The importance of the automotive industry in Mexico lies in the fact that it represents almost 4% of the national gross domestic product (GDP) and 20.5% of manufacturing GDP, more than any other sector, according to the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA).
