Great news for the entire The Division 2 gaming community, with the three-year anniversary this March, Massive continues to work hard to not only improve the gaming experience, but also expand it with new content.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, in that sense, we have now learned that The Division 2 will present an Escape from Tarkov-style game mode in its new season. The public test server for the Ubisoft game will be activated tomorrow to launch Season 9 of the game and will do so with important news.
Leaks suggest that the new season of The Division 2 will bring with it a new game mode that could be related to The Division: Heartland, the next spin-off of the action saga and that it will arrive soon on a date to be determined under the free-to-play format.
According to this preview, the game mode would work similar to the popular PC game Escape from Tarkov, which offers us access to different maps to collect all the valuables we find, with the risk that other players or enemies controlled by the AI can kill us and make us lose all the loot.
A mechanic that, in fact, is quite similar to the Dark Zone of The Division saga, but this time it would have the name of Welcome Heartland, as the leak points out. For now none of this is official, so we will have to keep waiting to know all the details and find out how much of it was true.
