It took two years of work, on a project that seemed like a distant dream, but today sees the light of day in a proposal from head to toe with one of the most beloved cultural icons in Chile: Condorito and the inhabitants of Pelotillehue reach Latin American showcases. from Vans.
Known worldwide for creating incredible capsules and alliances, Vans launches this exciting partnership that represents an unprecedented milestone in the history of the Californian brand in Chile, being its first intervention with an emblematic national figure.
Condorito: part of an identity
It all started with an idea from the local team, inspired by the success of similar jobs in other Latin American nations. After several conversations, Condorito was the perfect figure that represented the values and identity of Chile, in addition to transcending generation after generation throughout the region with his characteristic humor.
Not exempt from difficulties, the path to materialize the unprecedented project advanced. The products were defined, the designers from the United States, Vans Chile and the representatives of Condorito worked closely with each other, in a very meticulous way to capture the essence of both brands in every detail.
“This collaboration between Vans and Condorito is more than just a collection of products, it is a union of cultures, values and creativity. 73 years of laughter and stories
Condorito has been making adults and children laugh for 73 years with a simple humor, but at the same time ingenious. His main character is recognized in Chile and the rest of Latin America as an icon of one of the most beloved comics in the Spanish language. In this way, Vans leaves the city of Pelotillehue with a complete outfit that celebrates a place where many of the characters live together.

What’s in this collection?
Within the collection are the Vans X Condorito SK8-Hi that combine a series of cartoons from the well-known cartoon in its most symbolic colors, which come together to give it an “Off the Wall” style with the classic Sidestripe and a series of details designed for fans.
The Slip On model mixes what is most typical of Vans’ identity, its checkerboard pattern, with the most recognized element of Condorito: the animation of the ¡PLOP! Here you can also find the different characters that inhabit the city of Pelotillehue accompanying this unique style.
Regarding the wardrobe, the shirt of this alliance has Condorito on the back, with a print that combines a palette of classic and vibrant colors. On the other hand, the sweatshirt is black with a hood and, like the comic, it comes with the legend Plop! at the rear.
Finally, the socks from this collection come to accompany the models, adding a detail as only Vans knows how to do it. All the products in this installment will be available from September 1 in Vans stores throughout Chile, as well as in www.vans.cl.
