After comings and goings, leaks in various digital stores and a lot of waiting, finally Square Enix has announced the arrival of Tactics Ogre: Reborn. The classic saga of the Japanese company will return to our screens for the first time in twelve years.
It will do so on November 11 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, via Steam. We can expect both digital and physical versions for consoles, including a premium digital version that includes the soundtrack, exclusive to PS5, PS4 and PC. The starting price will be 49.99 euros.
We do not have an original installment of the Ogre franchise since 2001 with Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis for GBA and in this case we are talking about an improved version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for PSP. In fact, that game was already about a remake of the 1995 original.
Therefore, for Tactics Ogre: Reborn It will offer us some improved graphics along with a better treatment for the sound. Additionally, we can expect improvements to the game design, which is based on tactical turn-based combat. The story takes us through the conflict that surrounds the Valerian Islands, with every decision we make affecting the plot that the protagonist Denam lives through.
The AI has been completely for the enemies, being able to adapt to all kinds of situations, while the class level management system has become one that allows us to modify the level of each unit. The automatic saving is another novelty and the on-screen interface has been revised.
