The renewed Citroën C3 Aircross premiered last year with a package of improvements that not only transformed its image, but also introduced new equipment and a revised mechanical offer. The smallest of the SUVs of the brand with the two chevrons expands its equipment with an interesting novelty.
The Citroën C3 Aircross It is the SUV of access to the range of the French manufacturer. One of the most interesting models in its category that was presented last year with a new, more modern image and with an important package of novelties that affected all areas, thus increasing the attractiveness of the model for customers. Already in the second part of its commercial life in the market, Citroën has decided to further improve the model with key equipment.
This is the electronic traction system, known as «Grip Control», already available in other models of the brand but which is extended in the C3 Aircross. This system allows, by means of a rotary control installed in the transmission tunnel, to modify the dynamic behaviour, adapting the torque transmission of the front wheels to the state of the road surfacebeing able to choose between four operating modes: «Snow», «Mud», «Sand» and ESP OFFavoiding the front wheel slip in every circumstance.
More safety for the Citroën C3 Aircross from this spring
A simpler equipment than an all-wheel drive, which also includes a hill descent function slowing down when degree of inclination of the slopes exceeds 5%. While the snow mode allows you to roll up to a maximum speed of 80 km/h, the second reduces it to around 50 km/h to ensure the greatest possible motor skills. Only Arena mode allows the C3 Aircross to roll up to 120 km/h.
Until now this system was only available in the top finish of the range, the “Shine”, due to its special character, so the great novelty of the French brand is the extension of this system to other finishes of the model. In fact, the fan has practically opened it to all endings, including «Live», which It is not available in Spain, but the “Feel” and “C-Series” arewhich will make it possible to increase the safety of drivers and passengers in practically all circumstances.
The new “Grip Control” traction system will be included in the coming weeks in the aforementioned equipment, although for now it is unknown if it will mean an extra price or not. A complement for a very limited range of mechanics, with only two options, the gasoline of 1.2-liter PureTech and 110 hp or the 1.5-liter diesel and of equal power than the previous one, both also associated with a change 6 speed manual.
