The third episode of the animated series What If…? had an easter egg that makes a reference to Captain America: The Winter Soldier
A mysterious murderer is after the possible members of the Avengers in the third episode of What If… ?, which contains an easter egg from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which was not easy to find.

In the episode What if … the world lost its most powerful heroes? There were many references to films such as Iron Man 2, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, but there was an Easter egg referring to the second film of Captain America, about the missions of the Winter Soldier.
When Nick Fury meets Hank Pym, who wears the Yellowjacket suit, in the cemetery, the scientist reveals to Fury that he murdered the candidates as revenge after the death of his daughter, Hope.
Fury reveals that Hope Van Dyne died on a mission outside of Odessa, Ukraine, a place Natasha Romanoff referred to in one of the scenes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

When Steve and Natasha meet at the hospital where Nick Fury died. Black Widow reveals to Captain America that the one who killed Fury is the Winter Soldier, who years ago attacked her in Odessa, when she was guiding an Iranian muclear expert.
Odessa is not only the place where Natasha was attacked in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the Universe of What If, the Ukrainian city saw Hope Van Dyne die, who sought to emulate in the footsteps of her mother, Janet Van Dyne.
