The DXOMark test shows that the iPhone 13’s camera is superior to that of the iPhone 12 Pro.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 Pro are two very interesting devices that can be found at a similar price, and one of the differences between the two is the main camera. In the famous test of DXOMark, iPhone 13 has proven to have better cameras than iPhone 12 Pro, despite having one less sensor.
As we saw in our comparison, it is not easy to choose between these two models. This year Apple has differentiated the iPhone 13 more from the iPhone 13 Pro, and the devices do not share the same cameras. Therefore, it is interesting to know how good the sensors of the normal iPhone 13 are.
The iPhone 13 may not offer a dedicated telescopic module, but it does come with several improvements over last year’s generation. The new main module uses the same sensor as last year’s top-of-the-line iPhone 12 Pro Max and there is now dual-pixel autofocus instead of PDAF.
DXOMark score for iPhone 13 camera
In his painstaking test, DXOMark say what iPhone 13 has achieved a score of 130 points. The score is divided into about 138 points in photography, 117 points in the video section and 55 points in the zoom section. This places the iPhone 13 in 11th place in the ranking.
The overall score of the iPhone 12 Pro was 128 points, with 135 points in the photo, 112 in the video section and 66 in terms of zoom, the only point where it is superior to the iPhone 13. Therefore, and according to this test, iPhone 13 camera is superior to iPhone 12 Proexcept for zoom.
On the other hand, the great difference between the cameras of the iPhone 13 and those of the iPhone 13 Pro is once again demonstrated. The camera of this year’s Pro models is much superior, and in the test it obtains 137 points, with a spectacular 144 in photo, 119 in video and 76 in terms of zoom.
