The Boys series is one of Amazon’s flagships and its spin off will have two less actors
Among the premieres of 2019 there was one that stood out above the average in terms of superhero series. TheBoys It was the adaptation of the comic book saga by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson that follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they fight against various superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.
From this success in 2020 it was announced that two projects would emerge that derived directly from the main series. The first of these is “The Boys presents: Diabolical«, an animated series that will deal with a strange girl with annihilating powers.
The second spin off It does not have a scheduled release date but we did know a little about what its plot was going to be or at least how it was going to be planned. The action of this spin-off series will take place in the only university in the United States exclusively for superheroes, where several students will test their limits. Its managers described the title as «a version of The Hunger Games in college, with all the heart, satire and mischief of TheBoys«.
dead line has mentioned that the reason that has led Aimee Carrero and Shane Paul McGhie to leave the production has been the lack of production of the series. They have been waiting for more than a year for production to begin and have had to reject several offers because they are pending the series. For this reason, and looking for a future with other jobs, they have decided to get off the ship.
The third season of The Boys will premiere on June 3. Fiction will introduce several new characters in this batch of episodes. Among them will be Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Little Nina (Katia Winter), Blue Hawk (Nick Wechsler), Gunpowder (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Supersonic (Miles Gaston Villanueva).
