In The Batman’s Director’s Commentary, Matt Reeves explained why this BruceWayne doesn’t really sound that different:
“I knew I didn’t want to do a Batman that had been done before, that had the growl that we’ve seen. Because I knew that in this version, if you’re going to do a detective story, Batman will have a lot of dialogue scenes. When you look at all the movies, Bruce Wayne may have a lot of long dialogue scenes, but Batman’s dialogue scenes, he has dialogue but he’s controlled.”
“This literally is because of the need to solve this crime, it was going to require him to have long dialogue scenes in that suit and some of them are very emotional. If he were growling, we wouldn’t be able to connect with him emotionally. There was some real exploration to figure out how to make that work.”
They have also debunked a popular fan theory.
There is a moment in the film where we can see how the hero injects himself with a green serum in order to increase his fighting ability. According to the book The Art of The Batmanthat liquid is pure adrenaline, therefore it is not the drug Venomthe substance that gives extra strength to baneone of the great villains of DC Comics.
