If we needed proof that sometimes the castings are done from Twitter (zero complaints, really) we have found out that Christina Riccithe iconic Wednesday from ‘The Addams Family’ by Barry Sonnenfeld, will return to the franchise to star ‘Wednesday’, the Netflix series.
The details about which character the actress, whom we have recently seen in the great ‘Yellowjackets’ and ‘Matrix Resurrections’, will play remain under lock and key. According to Deadline, this will be a new one that will accompany the young Wednesday Addams in her experiencesyes
A last minute transfer
What is known is that it is a “last minute” signing, since it would have been made to supply in some way Thora Birch’s discharge, who had to leave the series in the middle of filming for family reasons. Birch played Tamara, Wednesday’s roommate. Ricci would have already been recording for the series for several weeks.
Jenna Ortega will play the new version of Wednesday Addams, which we will see as a student at the Nevermore Academy. As she tries to master her psychic ability, the girl finds herself in the middle of a series of murders and a paranormal mystery dating back twenty-five years and involving her parents.
Tim Burton is in charge of directing the series, which consists of eight episodes under a script by Al Gough and Miles Miller (‘Smallville’), who create comedy. In the production are Andrew Mittman, Kevin Miserocchi, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman and Gail Berman.
