In the recent YouGov study, Auto Rankings 2023, the perception of automotive brands in 18 key markets is analyzed. It was found that on a global scale Toyota is the brand that tops the list, followed by the German Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi, in that order.
For their part, Volkswagen and Nissan turned out to be the winners in the ranking of Mexico, since Mexicans have greater loyalty to these brands that have been in the country for more than half a century. In third place is the Japanese Toyota, which with just over 20 years in the Mexican market has earned a preferential position among local consumers.

In this research, YouGov also shares the ranking of brands that increased their score the most in 2022 in Mexico, which is led by Kia, which managed to increase its rating in the general BrandIndex Index by 1.4 points. Second place is occupied by Volvo with an increase of 1.2 points in the same period, followed by Toyota with 1.1 and Suzuki with 1 additional point. Finally, the Top 5 is Mazda, with an increase of 0.3 points in its General Index, according to the statement from the research company.
