The Association of Entrepreneurs of Mexico (ASEM) recognized recognized with the call E-100 2022 to 100 entrepreneurs who are transforming the country with their projects and that have had a positive impact on their communities.
“This initiative has the purpose of giving visibility to the great social and change work that entrepreneurs in Mexico do. We are recognizing not only the best entrepreneurs, but also the most innovative projects that are providing solutions to the great problems of the country and their work teams, which make it possible”,
explains Juana Ramírez, president of the ASEM Board of Directors.
It is a recognition of entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. In the final list are men and women from 18 entities of the country. They are committed to formality, job creation and a positive impact on society through their projects.
Further entrepreneurs of impact
In this edition, the participation of women stands out, who occupied 55% of the positions in the ranking of the 100 most voted entrepreneurs, which speaks of their potential to lead projects and the importance of recognizing them.
“This trend is on the rise and favors women having greater visibility. It is a positive figure, but we must redouble our efforts to reduce the inequality gap that still persists in the ecosystem, mainly in sectors such as technology and information technology, where only one in ten businesses are headed by women”, explains Juana Ramírez.
He argues that a greater participation of women in the E-100 call confirms the results obtained in the X-ray of Entrepreneurship in Mexico 2021, Women’s edition, since currently companies founded by female entrepreneurs have certain characteristics that allow them to stand out as a shorter time to reach profitability (13% faster than men) and a younger average age (40 years, compared to the average 43 years for men).
