The game didn’t seem to be going too bad, but it was still canceled
With the announcement of the development of the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and two other games by Respawn, and the success of The Book of Boba Fett on TV (which also includes a nod to video game fans in its latest chapter), the Star Wars brand is in one of its best moments. But things have not always gone so well, but ask Star Wars 1313, the adventure game developed by Visceral Games that never saw the light of day, while the studio ended up being dissolved. It has surfaced on the internet a new gameplay of this game that was going to star Boba Fettand the truth is that it pointed out ways.
Keep in mind that this is an internal playable demo of the development, so many elements of the game are directly undone. Leaving that aside, the demo begins with Boba Fett walking through the decaying streets of a mega space city, walking in style, until he meets her target and a foot chase begins. At first glance, it seems like a fairly typical chase of the adventure genre, one of those that could also be seen in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but you would have to see the final scene to appreciate all the packaging of it, such as textures and effects.
At first glance this persecution seems quite remarkable. Good rhythm, good animations, jumps and slopes, the city in the background, etc. Hard to believe this game didn’t make the EA cut.
At the end of this demo you can see some clips with various game models, physics tests, animations, combat, etc.. All promising enough that the game ended up being canceled and the studio closed. One of the great misunderstood decisions of recent years.
For more Star Wars games we will have to wait for the next one 5th of Aprilwhen it hits LEGO Star Was: The Skywalker Saga stores for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
