The impact of Thanos was so brutal in the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe that it continues to be important in films like The Eternals (2021).
Attention SPOILERS. The movie The Eternals is about to reach Disney Plus, the streaming platform that can be accessed through this link. But before that happens, Marvel studios has shared a deleted scene where it is shown how important the acts of Thanos, since the great villain is given as an example.
In the deleted scene from the final cut of The Eternals we can see Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) trying to convince Sprite (Lia McHugh) of the value of humanity. For this he reminds him of the brutal battle that was lived against Thanos.
They defeated Thanos … and saved half the universe. With little more than hope, perseverance … and their ability to sacrifice for those they love. Reveals Makkari.
Infinity War was Marvel Studios’ biggest event.
Since they started the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe in 2008 with the movies Hombre de Hierro Y The incredible Hulk, they already began to lay the foundations of what they were preparing. But it all ended with the movies Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Where Thanos managed to collect the Infinity Stones and with a simple “snap” erased half the life of the Universe. Afterwards, the heroes went ahead and managed to perform a time robbery to collect the Infinity Stones and undo the acts of the great villain. Although this triggered a brutal battle where The Avengers triumphed.
All these events were reflected in the film of The Eternals and they even introduced the brother of Thanos called Eros / Starfox (Harry Styles). So surely in the next installments of Marvel Studios we will know more about him ‘crazy titan’. Who knows if they will even resurrect him like in the comics.
The movie The Eternals will hit Disney Plus on January 12, 2022.
