If you have these behaviors it is likely that you have an addiction but it can be mild or severe.
Technology is everywhere and it’s here to stay. It is increasingly common to see children with their tablets everywhere and many spend all afternoon at home sending photos or answering WhatsApp or playing games. It is a generation of digital natives, they know how to use it better than us, but it can also be dangerous.
We present a series of behaviors so that you know how addicted your child is to electronic devices:
- It has no control: It is very difficult for the child to stop using the devices
- He has lost interest in the rest: it seems that he is only motivated by new technologies
- He only thinks about one thing: it seems that the little one only thinks about his devices and what to do with them.
- His behavior interferes with family relationships: his exposure to screens interferes with his family’s daily activities.
- And it produces conflict and fights: Also, relationships between family members and him can be very rough.
- Not using your tablet frustrates you: if you don’t use your devices, you have a hard time.
- The child spends more and more time in front of a screen.
- Your child lies to use the devices.
- When your child is having a bad day, devices seem to be the only thing that helps him feel better.
To find out how addicted your child is, the child is considered to be a mild addict if he collects 4 to 5 of the 9 points; moderate, 6 to 7 criteria, and severe if you meet 8 to 9. What is your child in?
