After four years of development, the long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck is ready for release next November 30.
As expected, Elon Musk will lead the ceremony at the Austin, Texas headquarters.
However, Tesla has measures to prevent customers from profiting of this release.
What is the clause to buy a Cybertruck?
The Cybertruck now accumulates numerous reservations prior to its launch. This is why although official prices have not yet been announced, it is expected to be quite a sales success.
This is because Tesla also announced that its production will be limited and slowwhich could take up to four years for some customers to receive their vehicles.
And to avoid speculation, a contractual clause prohibits resale during the first yearand those who don’t comply could face legal action from Tesla.
Tesla is not the first brand to join this strategy
Tesla’s move follows the strategy of other brands, such as Ford and Porschewhich have implemented similar restrictions on limited production vehicles.
It is expected that, over time, production capacity increases, reducing the need for these measures.
Meanwhile, the unknown about the final price of the Cybertruck remainswith the first unit sold for $400,000 at a charity auction.
The Cybertruck order agreement states that the car cannot be sold for the first year. In my opinion, many Cybertrucks were reserved to make a profit. Since it cannot be reversed for a year, some will cancel the order and that will make the buyer serious… pic.twitter.com/nZY7Ak14pQ
