History of Teoloyucan
The beginnings of Teoloyucan date from pre-Hispanic times. According to the Mendocino Codex, Itzcóatl conquered the Tepaneca kingdom, from which they detached the towns of: Tlacopan, Azcapotzalco, Teocalhuayac, Cuahguacan, Tecpan, Cuauhtitlan, Atlacuihuayan, Mixcoac, Coyohuacan and Cuauhiximalla.
