Do you think it is true that you will eat more if you watch TV while dining? Yes. Find out what the studies say.
At least that is what researchers from the University of Pittsburgh in the United States say, who discovered that being distracted twice a week with television while eating leads to a weight gain of 3.5 kilos a year. The reason is because, while your mind concentrates on the images, you chew fewer times and consequently eat more than you should . Eight weeks without TV during dinner is equivalent to half a kilo less. In addition, scientists from the University of Massachusetts determined that men who watch television while eating consume an average of 288 calories more than those who do not eat in front of the screen.
