For a few months now, there has been a topic that has created a lot of discussion and debate on social media, and that topic is NFTs. At the moment, nobody is clear about their place in the industry, but there have already been several large companies that have not wasted the opportunity to introduce them in their titles, with really disastrous results. The latest news on this subject is that Team 17 decides to cancel its NFTs project after the avalanche of complaints.
The company’s statement has been published through its official profile on Twitter, where Team 17 comments that after complaints from the community, and having had several internal discussions, they have decided to drop the idea of NFTs in the Worms franchise. Before this statement, studies that have worked with Team 17, such as The Game Kitchen (creators of Blasphemous) have exposed their rejection of this new fashion.
Team 17 decides to cancel its NFTs project after the avalanche of complaints
Team17 is today announcing an end to the MetaWorms NFT project.
We have listened to our Teamsters, development partners, and our games’ communities, and the concerns they’ve expressed, and have therefore taken the decision to step back from the NFT space.

Blasphemous 2 will arrive in 2023, its creators confirm
Every time a company/important figure decides to support NFTs, they receive many complaints and criticisms for the rejection they cause today, and, although we do not know if in the future it will be a technology that can be consolidated, right now they have it very, very difficult to reason with millions of users who totally distrust this whole world.
