While some of these mods are over a decade old and have been around for a long time without any issue with Take-Two and even Rockstar Games released a deal on their website regarding GTA mods for PC, stating that mods are fine if they are non-commercial and single player. Now, among many mods, a very famous one called “GTA Underground” has been removed, which allowed players to explore the map from Vice City to Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
It is unclear why Take-Two is suddenly going after these mods for DMCA violations, after updating them without warning and having full power over the mods and their removal.
