The first Sword Art Online: Progressive movie was a great success due to the quality of it, both in its animation and in its development, and although it didn’t quite convince me, I do have to give it credit for conquering the hearts of most of the Sword Art Online fandom.
Now, A-1 Pictures, albeit belatedly, will give us a second film that promises to be of much higher quality than the previous one and, of course, will try to outdo itself.

Sword Art Online: Progressive – Scherzo of a Deep Night delayed to October
Production company A-1 Pictures hasn’t used to make mediocre movies, far from it (or at least not in my opinion), having produced some much-loved movies like 2017’s Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, the Persona 3 movies, which are quite good, or even The Anthem of the Heart, a film that although not everyone likes it, 87% of those who watched it did like it.
Well, with this latest production of Sword Art Online: Progressive – Scherzo of a Deep Night, a feature film that will adapt volume 5 of the light novels, and although it seems that they are trying by all means to make it go ahead with good quality, it is inevitable that COVID-19 breaks into countless delays in both the multimedia world (both in video games and in movies). In this case, the movie is delayed until the next day October 22so there is still a little over a month left for us to enjoy it.
