For many, the Steam Deck is a good alternative to switch. Although there is no legal way to enjoy super mario odyssey or breath of the wild on this platform, this is where emulation comes into the picture. During the last few days we have seen several videos showing various titles of the Nintendo console running on the new Valve product. However, as soon as this material appears, it is also removed from social networks.
Over the past few days, users have reported that videos showing Switch emulation on the Steam Deck have been removed from YouTube. Although at the moment it is unknown who is behind these cases, the main suspect is Nintendowho constantly carries out this practice.
A particular case is that of a youtuber known as The Phawx, who published a video on his channel with more than 55 thousand subscribers, where we can see Yuzu, the open source Nintendo Switch emulator, running on the Steam Deck. Unfortunately, this content was removed, something that also happened with a video focused on Dolphinthe GameCube emulator.
In social networks, some fans are against Nintendo’s decision to remove these types of videos, since at no time is piracy promoted or shown how to download ROMs, and the focus is on knowing the performance of the emulation in the Steam Deck. This is what one user commented:
“In those videos, not once did he say he approves of piracy. He didn’t show how to download the ROMs from another site.
It just showed how to emulate the games on the machine.
This is 100% legal. But Nintendo abused the DMCA system. And this is just wrong.”

In related topics, Valve talks about drift cases on the Steam Deck. Likewise, they already opened this console, and this is what it looks like.
Editor’s Note:
While there are those who may be in Nintendo’s favor on this point, many of the complaints the company receives could be avoided if they just offered a way to enjoy legacy on the Switch, outside of some NES, SNES, and N64 games.
