Microsoft SwiftKey recently released the option to sync the clipboard between Android and Windows devices seamlessly bidirectional. The functionality was in version beta since August 2021, but it has finally been extended to the version stable of the Microsoft keyboard.
SwiftKey now syncs the clipboard between Android and Windows devices
Although previously we had a synchronization between clipboards thanks to Your telephone, this function is exclusive to some Galaxy. But now with SwiftKey, any telephone who can install the keyboard may have access to clipboard sync. To be able to use this option, a microsoft account and that the option is enabled on both devices.
This option might not seem like a novelty, since there are currently third party apps that perform a clipboard sync between both devices. But the timing it offers Swiftkey is the simpler for the most common users. We detail how you can Activate clipboard sync in about simple Steps.
Steps to configure it on Android
- We open the settings Swiftkey
- Click on Rich writing, and then in Clipboard
- We activate the option Synchronize clipboard history. In order to use it we will need to log in with a microsoft account, and let it be the same account that is added to the computer.
Steps to configure it in Windows
- We open the Setting Windows
- We select the section System
- We click on Clipboard
- We activate the options Clipboard history and Synchronize across all devices. Then we activate the option Automatically sync the text I copy. As detailed above, a microsoft account to activate this option.
