The entry on the scene of the new Suzuki S-Cross is nothing more than the beginning of all the novelties that are on the agenda and that we will learn about in the coming years. After the arrival of the new S-Cross, the next novelty that Suzuki will launch on the European market this year will be neither more nor less than the hybrid variant (HEV) of the Suzuki Vitara. A version of which, by the way, we already know its prices. Now, it is in 2023 when things get interesting.
The new Suzuki Swift and hybrid variant
The launch of the new generation of the Swift, the very interesting Suzuki utility, is set for next year. The novelties that the new generation of the Japanese model will bring with it go far beyond a simple change in design or improvement in the technological equipment. It is in the mechanical section where we must focus all our attention due to the latest information that has come to light.
Currently, the Swift range is committed to electrification. However, it does so at a low level. It uses Suzuki’s light hybrid technology (MHEV). A technology called SHVS. Under the premise of further reducing emissions and thus being able to meet the demanding European emissions regulations, a non-plug-in hybrid mechanism will be introduced.
On the other hand, and no less important, is the fact that the sporty variant, the Suzuki Swift Sport, will remain in the portfolio. The Swift Sport will also be a new generation and, like the base model, will benefit from the aforementioned commitment to electrification.
