Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is finally official, but we know little else about it plot, characters and gameplay than what could be sensed in the CGI trailer with which it was announced just a few days ago. According to the latest rumors, this second installment of the Respawn Entertainmnt series could feature a character from the movies that fans love, Darth Maul.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as an official part of the Star Wars universe, takes place more or less in the same time period as the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series, so many fans are waiting to see if both characters cross paths at some point, both in the series and in the game. Therefore, the appearance of Darth Maul is also feasible.
This rumor comes from Nick Baker (Sphesal_Nick) of the Xbox Era podcast, the insider claims to have heard that Darth Maul will appear in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (via gamerant). Officially it would be possible, since Darth Maul does not die in the phantom menacethe character could be seen in the series of clone wars Y Rebels.
Even so, this rumor should be taken with some caution, since claims to have heard this rumor during the past year, so plans might have changed. At the moment there is no official information about the plot of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, so we will have to continue waiting for news. Will we see it at the Summer Game Fest?
More Star Wars projects
Apart from this Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the George Luchas and Disney franchise has more projects on the way, such as the remake of Star Wars KOTOR, about which not much has been known for quite some time or the new game from Amy Hennig, creator of Uncharted. According to the latest rumours, Hennig will be rescuing the old project he worked on with Visceral Games.
