The name Aaron Smolinski is probably not familiar to you. Smolinski is an actor who was born in 1974 in Calgary, Canada, and has participated in films such as Darling, I Shrunk the Children and Devil Games, in supporting roles.
But Smolinski is the only actor to appear in three Superman films at different times, the 1978 production, 1983’s Superman III and 2013’s Man of Steel.
In Superman, a film directed by Richard Donner, Aaron Smolinski is the two-year-old boy who arrives on earth aboard the ship from Krypton, and is found by Jonathan and Martha Kent in the fields of Smallville, Kansas. Smolinski’s footage was seen again in Superman II.
Smolinski returned to Superman III in a smaller role, being the boy who meets Superman at the camera where Clark Kent donned the Last Son of Krypton costume.
Two decades later…
And 20 years later Smolinski returned to a Superman movie, now in Man of Steel, a film starring Henry Cavill and directed by Zack Snyder.
Smolinski is one of the soldiers at the rendezvous point where Superman would board one of the Kryptonian ships to be brought before General Zod.
Aaron Smolinski is the only actor to share a scene with Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill, in their respective versions of Superman, something that no other actor has achieved.
