The 30-second ads for the Super Bowl LVII on February 12 will cost $7 million, the most in NFL title game history.
According to data from AdAge, a global media brand that publishes news, analysis and marketing data, that will be the cost for each advertising intervention during the matchup for the Vince Lombardi trophy between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The game will take place next Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Information from Nielsen Holdings, an American information, data and market measurement company, points out that in Super Bowl LVI last year, which the Rams beat the Bengals, the cost per half-minute advertisement was 6.5 million dollars.
The lowest price for a 30-second ad in the past four years was $5.5 million in Super Bowl LV in 2021 in which the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
The price of half-minute advertising during the 2020 title game, which culminated in the Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers, was greater than that of 2021; cost 5.6 million.
Last week Anheuser-Busch, an American beer company based in St. Louis, Missouri, reported that they will be the company with the largest investment in advertising time for this year’s NFL title game; they bought three minutes.
“Anheuser-Busch has a long history of delivering great performances to fans during the Super Bowl and this year will be no exception. We are the biggest advertiser,” Benoit Garbe, Anheuser-Busch’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
Another major advertiser will be the American multinational PepsiCo, which committed to buy more than three million dollars worth of advertising during Super Bowl LVII on the various platforms of the league.
