For this hot season prepare your baby’s baby food with fresh and nutritious foods.
Fruits and vegetables are an important source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants, and phytochemicals; as well as water that is basic for hydration. These nutrients help your baby stay healthy and promote their growth and development.
Very important
Do not use condiments, grass, sugar or salt to prepare them, since from six to 11 months the child must learn to identify the original flavor. From the year or when the baby is introduced to the family diet, it could be added, but they should not be condiments that irritate his stomach or cause reflux, such as pepper, garlic and cinnamon.
How to prepare them?
You can use raw fruits, but you should wash them with soap and water and disinfect them. Then chop them into very small pieces or blend them until you make a thick puree that is not totally liquid. Vegetables should be cooked in water, steamed or baked and cut into pieces.
Take into account
DO NOT combine fruits or vegetables with each other, since the baby must identify the original flavor of the food and thus know which ones are to his liking. Or, to find out if they have any allergies.
YES Combine fruits and vegetables from the year; due to its texture and flavor, the best ones are: melon-apple; pear Apple; banana-pear; carrot-chayote; or carrot-spinach.
