At the moment, this new tool is only available for iOS users, although it is expected to reach Android soon.
Currently, Twitter has a total of 1.3 billion accounts, of which only 330 million are active users.
A new feature is being tested on Twitterwhich would allow users turn subtitles on and off for your content.
Twitter It is not, by any means, the most popular social network and, in fact, it is not even in the Top 5, although this could change with the arrival of Musk.
In fact, it is strange that Twitter is, today, one of the least used social networks, since, according to information from the platform itself, has a total of 1.3 billion accounts, of which only 330 million are active users. Countries like the United States and Japan are the ones with the largest number of users attached to this social network, with 77 million and 58 million users respectively.
These numbers, however, are a far cry from what other platforms have under their belt. According to data from Statista, Facebook is the social network with the most users in the worldwith almost three billion Internet users in its “portfolio”.
However, let us remember that the little bird’s social network has been in the media spotlight since Elon Musk’s intentions to buy the platform were announced, which, to this day, has not been defined, although, given the popularity of the SEO of Tesla and SpaceX, could be very useful for Twitter.
Captions arrive on Twitter
Meanwhile, what is happening is that Twitter continues to update itself, launching new features for users so that they have a better experience when browsing the network.
Now, what the social network created by Jack Dorsey is presenting is a new “button” with which it will allow Internet users to activate and deactivate comments in their feed.
At the moment, as reported by Twitter through a statement, this new function is only available in test for iOS devices, although it is expected to be tested on Android soon.
“Videos with subtitles or without subtitles. Now it’s easier to choose for some of you on iOS and soon on Android. For videos that have subtitles available, we are testing the option to turn subtitles on/off with a new ‘CC’ button”., wrote the social network in its post.

A few weeks ago, Twitter also introduced a new tool with which Android Internet users (it already exists in iOS) will be able to select part of the text that is included in a message and then copy it and, therefore, use it in any other publication or, even in another app.
Manchun Wong, an engineering expert known for previewing what’s new in many social media apps, is the one who unveiled Twitter’s plans to develop a new tool for Android users.
In a context in which social media are increasingly important, every day, however, they have had to adapt to the comfort of Internet users, which is why they constantly try to capture the attention of users.
In previous weeks, platforms such as WhatsApp, TikTok and even Snapchat, to mention an example, have updated their functions. WhatsApp, in this sense, announced that it is working on a new function that will allow the sending of files weighing up to 2GBtaking into account that users often share important information through the app.
