We are already in the announcement season for the video game industry, which kicked off last week with Sony’s State of Play, during which the first official trailer for Street Fighter 6. Since then we have not stopped hearing about this new fighting game and Capcom has already confirmed that it will have crossplay and rollback netcode.
Yesterday some members of the press were able to test Street Fighter 6 as part of an in-person event of the Summer Game Fest 2022, where they were able to play for a few hours to test the new installment and asked the Capcom developers questions. It was during these sessions that the crossplay and rollback netcode for Street Fighter 6 was confirmed.

The first official trailer showed us what some of the Street Fighter 6 characters look like, but the day after it was released, an image with 22 fighters was leaked. It is not known if these are all the characters that will be available from the launch of the game, but the leak presented us with the new designs of the fighters.
This Thursday’s Summer Game Fest kicked off with a Guile gameplay trailer, in which we saw the new look of this iconic fighter that has been around since the first Street Fighter, as well as his moves and animations. It is already confirmed that Street Fighter 6 will arrive on Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Announcement season isn’t over yet, so we could see more of Street Fighter 6 during tomorrow’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Either way, Capcom announced a Capcom Showcase for Monday, June 13, which will be dedicated to already announced games like Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
