“Honestly, there is no way to continue with season 4 and not expand the scale and depth. It’s a much larger cinematic narrative that happens to be in a television series. Stranger Things 5 is as big as any of the biggest movies we see”.
The premise of Stranger Things includes a group of children and young people who face paranormal situations in their hometown of Hawkins. Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) become friends with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), after one of her best friends, Will (Noah Schnapp), disappears. With Eleven’s psychotelekinetic powers and the help of friends they meet along the way, like Max (Sadie Sink), the boys face situations that put the fate of the world at risk.
In season 4 of the Netflix series released in 2016, the gang confronts Vecna, who takes advantage of people’s grief and sadness to possess them. Coupled with his personal conflicts, such as breakups and the search for his own identity, the boys must solve the mystery behind Vecna to find a way to destroy him. However, after several intense confrontations against the antagonist, season 4 pointed out that the true outcome of the story will not come until its next entry.
