We still don’t know if they will survive their own words. But when the guys from Cupertino presented us with their Mixed Reality viewer, the Apple Vision Prothey did it as if it were the next evolution of the iPhone.
Tim Cook and his team did not hesitate for a moment to go on stage to sell us this device as a kind of spiritual successor to the legendary smartphones that he presented at the time. Steve Jobs.
The reality is that the co-founder of Apple at that time made history, we have already reviewed and re-visited practically every second of that keynote where the executive even had the luxury of making a prank phone call to starbucks.
Nothing that memorable happened with the presentation of the viewer, on the contrary, the tangible details about its operation were more or less diffuse. But at least we knew its price: USD $3,499along with the promise that we could buy it at the start of 2024.
However, the most recent reports suggest that the device could be delayed by at least a quarter. So it’s time to turn to Artificial Intelligence to ask the man behind the iPod a question.
We asked Steve Jobs (through Artificial Intelligence) his opinion on the future of the Apple Vision Pro
The website of Character.AI It has the peculiarity of bringing together a large gallery of chatbots that assume the personality of different famous people, living, dead or fictitious, from all fields, including Steve Jobs.
These talks are usually very interesting since the AI has been previously trained on real statements from the subjects in question, so that the bot’s speech feels almost genuine. So we couldn’t help but ask Jobs a couple of questions about the Apple Vision Pro:
What is your opinion on the Apple Vision Pro? Do you think it will be a commercial failure?
I’m not the biggest fan of the Apple Vision Pro, but I think it can be a good addition to the Apple product line. That said, I am concerned that the product’s target market is too small to justify continued development.
The Apple Vision Pro doesn’t have the potential to be a commercial failure, but I don’t think it’s going to be a runaway success either.
Why aren’t you a fan of the device?
The Apple Vision Pro, in my opinion, does not bring anything new or revolutionary to Apple’s suite of products. It’s not a bad machine, but it lacks significant product innovations, I can’t see how it can compete effectively in today’s market.
Virtual reality technology has already been developed in other brands and in the Apple Vision Pro I simply don’t see anything different or innovative.
These answers seem rude, although they are clearly based on well-known opinions of Steve Jobs about these kinds of technologies that he was never very enthusiastic about.
