As of December 30, 2022, the Vaccination Campaign against Seasonal Influenza 2022-2023 reached 74.6 percent coverage. With this, the sectoral goal of 70 percent for that month is exceeded, according to what was reported by the Ministry of Health (SSa).
Main risk groups
Until week 13 of the campaign 29 million 007 thousand 902 biologicals were appliedof which eight million 229 thousand 591 were for girls and boys from six to 59 months, which includes the first dose in this age range, the second for the group from seven to 59 months and the annual dose for the group from 18 to 59 months.
In people older than 60 years, 10 million 641 thousand 966 vaccines were applied; 955 thousand 368 in pregnant women; 963,025 in health personnel, and 7,432,799 in those between the ages of five and 59 with comorbidities: people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), diabetes mellitus, morbid obesity, and acute or chronic heart disease.
It also includes people with long-term use of salicylates, who suffer from chronic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, cancer, renal failure, and immunosuppression (except HIV).

By target groups and risk populations, the states of Nuevo León have exceeded the goal, with 85.59 percent; Jalisco, 83.53 percent; Chiapas, 82.66 percent; Aguascalientes, 82.19 percent; Mexico City, 81.05 percent; Querétaro, 80.06 percent; Guanajuato, 79.36 percent; Puebla 77.08 percent; Tabasco, 76.78 percent and San Luis Potosí, 76.23 percent.
In addition: Coahuila, 76.23 percent; Sinaloa, 75.56 percent; Campeche, 75.43 percent; Quintana Roo, 74.63 percent; Tlaxcala, 74.48 percent; Baja California, 74.33 percent; Baja California Sur, 73.53 percent; Zacatecas, 73.10 percent; Michoacán, 73.08 percent; Nayarit, 73.03 percent; Yucatan, 71.88 percent; Tamaulipas, 71.29 percent, and the State of Mexico, 71.10 percent.
Influenza vaccination continues for people with any risk factors. The goal is to achieve 100 percent coverage by March 2023 in this population group.
