In a recent interview with the developers of Bethesda’s next big title, the team has confirmed that Starfield requires twice as many workers as Fallout 76 required. Starfield has been in development for quite a few years, with the game originally scheduled to release on November 11, 2022. However, due to Bethesda needing more time on the project, Starfield was pushed back to 2023 along with Redfall.
The Starfield development team has confirmed that Bethesda has more than twice the staff in charge of the space project than it needed to Fallout 76, this due to the labor necessary to build a universe as extensive as the one offered by the new science fiction role-playing game. This interview talks about the difficulties of developing games on such a large scale. Many, for example, believe that the days of AAA games from a single studio are behind us, and it’s obvious why. Fallout 76, according to Purkeypile, had 200 workers at most working on it, while Starfield easily reaches 500 workers.

It must be said that, hopefully, with a team of that size, the starfield crisis has been completely mitigated. Bethesda also has a history of crises, but public figures have stated that the company has moved away from this. However, more people doesn’t mean less work, but Starfield’s delay is a good sign knowing all the work behind the game.
