Stadia proposes a new way to play on iPhones and iPads!
The proposal direct touch of Stadia when it comes to playing comes to Apple devices, after launching several months ago on Android to play in the cloud. The first sample of this novelty now available in Sega’s HUMANKIND game, allowing controls similar to mobile devices for games that without this type of alternative would not have a mobile launch.
The alternative allows players to move precisely, thanks to the taps on your screen in the same areas in the cloud server game. So it makes perfect sense in the context of HUMANKIND, as mobile gamers would normally need to use a controller that would be slow and clunky for a 4X game. In that game, direct touch can differentiate between one-, two-, and three-finger pressing and other gestures.
Stadia’s “Direct Touch” Comes to iOS
This week in the Stadia Community Blog, Google has announced that gamers can now use direct touch via the Stadia iOS (web) app, to make HUMANKIND more playable on more devices, as promised since the feature arrived on Android, a few months ago.
If this game is one of yours, it’s time to give it a try. The first thing to do is to launch a compatible game via Stadia on your iPhone or iPad without a controller connected, and the app will offer the option to “Enable Direct Touch”. At the moment, the function is limited to HUMANKIND, but as in any release, It is only a matter of time for more titles to benefit from this modality.
