And it is logical that this is the case since the development of SsangYong’s new electric SUV, whose final name is unknown, is taking place in the Asian country. These snapshots show that the design advanced through a few sketches will be transferred to the production model.
The new J100 will stand out for a rough and adventurous outward appearance. A vehicle with very marked features. It will not go unnoticed. will wear a own design of an off-roader. At the front we have some horizontally arranged optical groups that will connect with the grille and draw a striking light signature.
In contrast, the taillights are vertical in shape. In the two bumpers the plastic defenses are protagonists. Some plastic defenses that protect the entire lower part of the bodywork. To this we must add the roof bars and a tailgate with really characteristic shapes.
J100, the “big brother” of the electric SsangYong Korando
SsangYong pointed out at the time that the new J100 will be a mid-size model, so it will be placed in the range as the “big brother” of the Korando e-Motion. The information regarding the propulsion system is unknown and it remains to be seen what battery it will use and if it will have all-wheel drive versions in its offer.
When will it hit the market? The brand assured at the time that the new J100 will go into production in 2022. It is not ruled out that its arrival will be delayed compared to what was initially planned due to the global shortage of microchips. In any case, and looking at these spy photos, we shouldn’t close the door on a debut in society at some point this semester.
