The current panorama of health in our country is not the best. Insecurity is the main adversity and now complaints have increased the reality faced by medical interns.
In the first instance, regardless of the university in which they study, all students must perform social service by obligation. In the case of doctoral candidates, it lasts 12 months and is the last step to be able to graduate from school.
The problem begins when young people are sent to health centers located in rural areas. On many occasions they are places that They lack basic services and there are no police elements either. Medical interns are left in oblivion and without tools to attend to patients.
The tragedy that put the entire health union in mourning
It is by no means a minor issue and only during this 2022 three medical students have been murdered while performing their social service. The most recent victim was Eric David Andrade Ramírez, who was in the Comprehensive Hospital of El Salto, in Pueblo Nuevo, Durango.
