Tobey Maguire Saga
Successful director Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) accepted the great responsibility of bringing Spider-Man to the big screen. The task was not easy if we consider that superhero movies were not the popular industry that they are now, with constant ups and downs. However, when the first installment was released with Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, the world of cinema changed. An entire trilogy was born, including one of what is considered the best friendly neighbor movie: spider man 2.

Andrew Garfield Saga
The mixed reception to Raimi-Maguire’s final film resulted in the franchise not continuing. Instead, Sony opted to reboot the Spider-Man story with director Marc Webb (500 days with her) and with Andrew Garfield carrying the mantle of the superhero. Two films emerged from this collaboration in which the enormous chemistry between their protagonists stood out: accompanying Garfield was Emma Stone in the role of Gwen Stacy.

Tom Holland Saga
The films directed by Webb did not find the same affection as Sam Raimi’s trilogy. That, coupled with a slight fatigue from seeing two interpretations of the character so closely, suggested that many years would pass before seeing the wall-crawler on the big screen again. However, something historic happened: Marvel Studio reached an agreement with Sony to share the film rights to the character. His deal would allow Spider-Man to interact with Iron Man, Captain America, and all the other superheroes to formin the MCU. Thus, Tom Holland was in charge of bringing the arachnid to life once again, under the orders of director Jon Watts (police car).

In a special corner within the Spider-Verse is the Sony’s most acclaimed work on the wall-crawler in recent years: the saga orchestrated by screenwriters and producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. A story of three parts, whose first chapter already deserved an Oscar for Best Animated Film.
