A big difference between the first and second Mario + Rabbids games revealed.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was one of the first Nintendo Switch games back in 2107 as an adventure for one player that from its fifth level offered a cooperative mode while after its launch it was offered a competitive modesomething that will have nothing to do with its sequel, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hopewhich will be released on October 20 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Xavier Manzanares, the game’s main producer, explained to Screen Rant that the development team decided mid-production that the sequel would be a completely solo experiencesomething that is in keeping with the mechanical and gameplay changes that Ubisoft was making at the time.
“We decided mid-production to focus on the solo experience.”, reveals Manzanares. “We actually brought a lot of things from the original concept, we started to see how many elements it brought to the table, and to balance that, this revamped system, we wanted to focus our attention on the individual aspect“.
