Souldiers is an indie game that presumes to have the exploration of a metroidvania but the combat of a Souls-like game, so a very challenging experience awaits us. In Souldiers, players can choose from the Scout, Conjurer, and Archer classes, each with their own unique attacks and stats, as well as a skill tree to customize your playstyle.
Retro Forge developers say they have been working on Souldiers for many years, a game that represents the fruits of their labor creating the game of their dreams, mixing old and new sensibilities, according to Retro Forge Creative Director Alberto Hernandez.
Souldiers’ 16-bit inspired aesthetic may be reminiscent of SNES classics, but its approach to customizing your hero and choosing between classes gives it depth and replayability over and above the ’90s references that inspired us. Today is a very emotional day for us as we can finally share the culmination of all our hard work with all of you,” said Alberto Hernández.
