Although it was thought that 2022 would be the last year where we would see big releases for the PS4 by PlayStation, as Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 Y God of War: Ragnarokthe company has mentioned that it intends to expand this until 2025.
As part of the recent Sony shareholders’ meeting, the company’s projections for the future were released, and here it is mentioned that PlayStation will leave the PS4 aside within the next three years. Instead, the company expects 30% of its releases to be on PC, and 20% on mobile over the next few years.
In this way, the projections for 2025 have no trace of the PS4, which makes a lot of sense. With this, PlayStation’s foray into PC has been mentioned as a success. Thus, the company will continue to move forward with its plans to move away from a business focused only on consoles, where the future of the company goes beyond just an entertainment medium.
During the same investor meeting it was revealed that God of War, Horizon and Gran Turismo series are already in development. Similarly, a new classification suggests that God of War: Ragnarok it will come out this year.
Editor’s Note:
The PS4 already has to be in the past. Little by little, more developers, not only from PlayStation, have begun to abandon the last generation, to focus entirely on the new consoles. games like Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Y deathloop are part of this group.
