We are just a few months away from the launch of one of the most anticipated games of the current generation of video game consoles: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5.
The graphic power that this title demands is such that the PS4 has been left behind and each of the advances that we have seen around the game seems to confirm that we are facing a worthy sequel to the previous adventure that is already counted as one of the best productions in the history of the industry.
Faced with such a scenario and Sony’s mysterious game of silence, where the information they are releasing is dropper and with little data that makes us feel firm about meeting its release date, the expectation is enormous.
It is precisely under this scenario and context that out of nowhere, as an absolutely unexpected surprise, the Japanese company has ended up announcing a very attractive bundle of its PlayStation 5 console to celebrate the launch of the new wall-climbing game.
Due to the short distance in the calendar for its release date, the vast majority feared that there would be no news in this regard. But Sony will repeat the move it made with the first title, launching in parallel a special edition of its console with a spidery and fresh design.
This is the bundle of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 5
sony via his official blog has published all the details about its new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 themed bundle. Where we finally come across a long-awaited redesign in the appearance of the console.
The original color palette of the PlayStation 5, with that predominantly white body, is not to everyone’s liking and for years many fans have been asking for the launch of a console with a black or different tone.
The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle comes to fulfill, in its own way, this request, presenting a thematic console alluding to the plot of the game and the presence of the symbiote that will give rise to Venom:
“The design was inspired by the symbiote in the game taking over the console and controller, but you can still see some of the underlying red under the tendrils. This represents the various ways players will experience taking control of the symbiote in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It’s a constant tug-of-war for dominance whether internal or external and the outcome is not certain.”
This is what Jacinda Chew, senior art director, of Insomniac Games points out about this package where even the DualSense 5 controller adopts this same design.
The game will release on October 20, 2023, but console pre-orders will begin on July 28.
The United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal will be able to purchase the package from the official PlayStation website.
The rest of the nations, including Latin America, must acquire it through other official means of local sales.
